Sometimes there are obstacles in trying to reach your goals. This is why Pur Wholistics runs nutrition  challenges with a support group. Your path to weight loss doesn't need to be alone.

Treating your Body Right

You know you only  get one body and that you should be treating it right. Sometimes that can feel easier said than done. 


Let's simplify this by looking at the core of what our bodies need. Without making it too complicated, how we can put our bodies first?


  • Moving- whether you're a big gym goer, or you're just walking- movement is an essential component for general health or weight loss.
  • Adequate sleep and rest 
  • Nutritious and mindful meals that nourish your health 
  • Making sure you're drinking enough water 
  • Using natural, holistic herbs and plants to help heal ailments

Protecting your Peace by Reducing your Stress

There is that age old saying of "mind over matter." Its meaning rings true, however in this day and age we don't exactly learn mindfulness in school. 


We can help ourselves through our day to day stress by keeping a few things front of mind: 


  • Gratitude- reminding ourselves of the things we have instead of the things we do not
  • Goal setting- breaking down large projects into smaller easier to handle components
  • Letting go- of both your shortcomings and those of others
  • Implementing "me time"- giving yourself the time and space to foster your interests and put yourself first 

SOUL

Fostering Deep Connection

There are times when we feel fragmented or disconnected from ourselves and the people around us. 


This component can be different for each individual however some of the below tasks and exercises can be used to help us fell more at home within ourselves


  • Journaling
  • Meditation, mindful visualization techniques and breathing exercises
  • Developing openness- inviting new experience and new ways of thinking that can help broaden your worldview 
  • Finding your tribe- allowing yourself to connect with other people who have similar interests as yourself 
  • Grounding - the use self soothing skills

We take a holistic approach to our programs and offerings because we think a person can perform at their best if we work with them as a whole.

If we were to give you a nutrition plan and tell you to follow it, simply because we said so- it would be a whole different result than if we showed you how mindful  eating practices used alongside the program could further your success.
